Mildred (Millie) Snow passed away peacefully at the age of 90 in the caring facility of Rosewood Manor in Harwich, Massachusetts on December 13, 2021. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Millie was the youngest of four children born to Mary Meyers Thompson and Fred Thompson. Strong-willed, compassionate, generous, and determined, she graduated from both Bulkeley High School and Hartford Secretarial School in Hartford, Connecticut. Known for having a beautiful singing voice even into her eighties, she lived a life full of family, Christian faith, love of music and a strong work ethic. With her late husband of 38 years, Charles (Charlie) Snow, she and he lived in Berlin, Connecticut for many years and were active members of the Berlin Congregational Church. Millie adored romance novels and shopping, especially for bargains but mostly bought for other people as well as contributing to many worthwhile organizations in need of funding with her generous heart. An avid traveler, she and Charlie frequently took cruises and would fly in their small plane to Cape Cod to visit her older sister, Pearl Blackburn and late brother-in-law Joe Blackburn, who was Charlie’s best friend. She also spent countless hours with beloved Goddaughter Cindy Robotham of Hyannis, who she treated as her own daughter, and Cindy’s family including husband Jerry, daughter Kate Conway of Sagamore Beach and son Joe Robotham of Hyannis. A devoted animal lover, Millie would often tell people with a wink and a smile that she used to sneak her beloved Beagle on the couch with her when her husband wasn’t looking. She worked in many secretarial capacities before working for Amica Insurance Company for over 30 years.
She is survived by her beloved sister Pearl Blackburn of Centerville, her Godchild Cindy Robotham and her husband, Jerry of Hyannis, her great niece Kate Conway of Sagamore Beach and her husband Russell Conway, and their children Kalli Conway and Finnan Conway, her great nephew Joseph Charles Robotham of Hyannis as well as very close friends, Bill and Joan Haines of Wethersfield, Connecticut and their family, and Ken and Gail Repoza of Rocky Hill, Connecticut along with other friends and relatives. She is predeceased by her sister Ethel Mumper, and her brother Theordore (Teddy) Thompson. In lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Berlin Congregational Church Worthington Ridge Berlin, Conn. 06037
