Kathryn Jean Casner

Kathryn Jean Casner, 71, of Kensington, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Hartford Hospital.

Kathryn was born in Southington, February 9, 1955, a daughter of Gloria Jean (Copes) Casner of Kensington and the late Robert Casner and was a lifelong Kensington resident.  Kathryn was employed by Voya for many years until her retirement.  She was a parishioner of St. Paul Church in Kensington.

In addition to her mother Jean, she is survived by her sister Dr. Ann Aresco; her brother William R. (the late Dorotha “Dot”) Casner; her nieces; and nephews Michael Casner, Lisa Aresco Smith and husband Jeremy and their children Brady and Kelsie, Daniel (Janisha) Casner, Jeffery Aresco, and their father George Aresco; Emily and Rob Skiles and their children Chloe and Liam, Paul and Meghan Berger and their daughter Lucy; her Godchildren; many cousins ; and several close family friends.  She was predeceased by her brother Jeffrey Casner; and her nephew Brent Casner.

Kathryn’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Kensington, Wednesday, February 18, 2026, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. in St. Paul Church, Kensington.  Interment will follow in Maple Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Kathryn may be made to St. Paul Church, 461 Alling St., Berlin, Ct. 06037, or St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.  www.BerlinMemorialFuneralHome.com
