Georgianna Wyszatycki was born May 23, 1924 and grew up on the family farm in Winooski, VT. She was the daughter of the late Aughtny Parizo and Helen Mittchell. Her father raised her and her brother Thomas (Buddy) Parizo. She was 18 when her father died, and she married Albert Rene Gamelin. They had four children Clement, Albert, Gamelin, Paulette, Ann Gamelin, Thomas Paul Gamelin, and Monica Lea Gamelin.
The family moved to New Britain CT in Dec of 1955 when Albert got a job at Fafnir Bearing in New Britain. Albert died in 1992 and in 1993 Georgianna met and Married Stanley Wyszatycki the owner of Stanley Shoe repair on Broad Street in New Britain. They had many happy years together visiting her family in VT., and all of her children and grandchildren. Stanley died in 1997, her brother died in 2000 and both her sons and her daughter have passed away.
Georgianna is survived by a daughter Monical Ovellette Mackenn and a granddaughter Diana Ovellette Wind; grandson Brian Ovellette and his wife Terry; her daughters-in-law Ann Gamelin and Patricia Degata Gamelin; granddaughter Arlene Connolly and her husband Walter Connolly; granddaughter Ann Marie St. Peter; granddaughter Michelle Szeluga and her husband Raymond, granddaughter Ann Marie St. Peter; great granddaughter Melissa Jewitt and her husband Jason; great great grandchildren Evan, Emma, Everett, and Elliott; great granddaughter Emily Szeluga; great granddaughter Ashley and two great grandchildren.
When she became a grandmother, she decided she liked being called “Meme” when you met her, she would say call me “Meme”. She was a woman of strong faith, a good heart and a sense of humor.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours at Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Kensington, on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 10 AM until 11 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 at St. Paul Church, 485 Alling St., Kensington. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain.
