Frances “Febby” Bureau, 76, of Berlin, loving wife of Gilles G. Bureau, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Apple Rehab. in Rocky Hill.
Febby was born in Caribou, Maine, February 15, 1949, a daughter of the late Thomas Hartley and Edna (Jandreau) Hartley and had been a Berlin resident for many years. She had been employed as a Secretary for the East Hartford Visiting Nurse for many years. Febby loved to play cards with family and friends, enjoyed gardening, baking and canning vegetables in the summer
In addition to her husband, Gilles, she is survived by her daughter Michelle Bureau, her son Matthew Bureau and his wife Jill; 3 grandchildren Briana Burke and her partner Brian Candelora and their three children Izabella Boyko, Izaiah Candelora and Lizette Candelora; Kyle Burke and his partner Chasitty Matos and their daughters Annalise Burke and Aniyah Burke; Hunter Burke and his partner Ymani Samuels and their daughter Veah Burke ; her sister Brenda and her husband Bob; her brother John Hartley; several nieces; and nephews.
Frances' family will receive relatives and friends at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Kensington, Monday, May 18, 2026, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. A Prayer Service will begin at 11 a.m. A private committal service will be held in the St. Mary Cemetery Mausoleum in New Britain.
