Bruce Ryder Obituary

Bruce Ryder, 86, of Berlin, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 27, 2021.   Born on March 8, 1935 in Greenville Junction, Maine, he was the son of the late James and Isabel (McEachern) Ryder and the husband of the late Mary Jane Ryder.  He moved to Hartford as a child and later to Berlin. Bruce retired from CIGNA, where he did Office Repair.  Prior to CIGNA, he worked at Smith Corona and A&A Typewriter Repair and later worked at the Lucy Robbins Welles Library in Newington.  Bruce was also a lifelong member of the Andover Sportsman’s Club. He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law:  Nancy Ryder of Berlin and Jill Usher and her husband Gary of Manchester, a Grandson:  Daniel Usher, a sister:  Elena Mace and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Kensington on Saturday October 9, 2021 from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 A.M. at St. Paul Church, 475 Alling Street, Kensington. Burial will follow in Maple Cemetery, Berlin
