Laurie (Mengual) Menard

Laurie Mengual Menard, 57, of Berlin, died peacefully Aug. 27, 2019 at Apple Rehab in Cromwell. She was born in New Britain on April 12, 1962 to Fernando and Mary Mengual. Laurie graduated from Berlin High School in 1980 and Middlesex Community College in 1982. She enjoyed spending time at the beach with her family, taking long walks with her father, and cuddling with her beloved cat, Molly. 

Laurie is survived by her mother, Mary Mengual of Berlin, her son Louis Menard of Colorado; brother John Mengual and wife, Mary of East Berlin, sister Susan Oliver and husband, John of Old Lyme; five nieces and nephews and six great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Mengual. 

The family would like to thank Nancy Hackbarth and the caregivers of Simply Home Solutions and the caregivers and staff at Apple Rehab in Cromwell for their kind and loving care of Laurie. 

Friends and family are invited to call at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Kensington, on Saturday, August 31, 2019, from 9:00 - 9:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Paul Church, 485 Alling Street, Kensington. Burial is private.
