Allan Stepash

Allan Stepash, 76, a life-long resident of New Britain, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2018.  Born on September 18, 1942, the beloved son of the late Michael and Helen (Muszynski) Stepash, Allan served his country in the US Navy. He was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft as an instrument mechanic for 40 years, retiring in 2005.  A man of faith, Allan was a kind and gentle soul who remained close to his sisters, nieces and nephews throughout his life.  
Allan doted on his “fur babies.”  They always brought a smile to his face. 
 
Allan is survived by his two sisters; Carol Nye  (wife of Wayne Nye) of Bristol and  Eileen Hyjek (wife of the late Thomas Hyjek) of Kensington, his nieces and nephews;  Michele Colagiovanni, Mitchell Nye, James Hyjek, and Tricia Lockhart.
 
Family and friends are invited to call at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Kensington, on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, from 9 A.M. - 10 A.M. Burial will follow at the State Veteran’s Cemetery in Middletown.
 
The family wishes to thank the staff of Ledgecrest Convalescent Home and also the Dialysis Unit at the Hospital of Central CT for their care and compassion.
