Thomas Walter Graham Sr. of Ridge Road Enfield, CT departed Father’s Day, Sunday, June 19th, 2016 for Our Father’s Kingdom.  Tom had battled much of the year with cancer. 

In his earlier years, Tom had enjoyed serving his country in the U.S. Navy, aboard the USS Salamonie from 1955-57.  In the 1970’s, he was proprietor of Walt’s Variety Restaurant, a diner in Meriden, CT.  Additionally, he was a sheet metal mechanic with American Air Conditioning of North Haven where he was the shop foreman. Tom also spent numerous years employed with United Technologies Hamilton Standard, as well as Sikorsky Aircraft as a sheet metal mechanic.  He eased into retirement after working with security companies Pinkerton and Securas.

Tom was no stranger to community organizations.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 80 of Enfield, CT and past president of the Eagles Club in Meriden, CT.  He also served as a den leader and Cub Master in the local Cub Scouts during the 1970’s. 

Born July 16, 1938 to Thomas William Graham and Ruth (Giboski) Graham in Meriden, CT, he is survived by his loving wife Jacqueline (Beck) Graham of Enfield, his son Rick Graham and spouse Donna Graham of Meriden, a daughter Polly (Graham) Maggipinto of Enfield and her former spouse John Maggipinto of Meriden, a daughter Robin (Graham) Rossman and spouse Robert Rossman of Enfield, a daughter Deena (Graham) Boucher and former spouse Michael Boucher Sr of Enfield, a son Russell Graham Sr and spouse Sara Graham of Beaufort, NC, a son Michael Graham of Poughkeepsie, NY and a son Gerald Graham of Enfield.  He was predeceased by a son Thomas W Graham Jr of Enfield.  Siblings include Dolores (Graham) Schrenker, Charles Graham of Meriden, and predeceased by his brother Edward Graham of Meriden.  Survivors include 25 grandchildren: Shannon Boucher, Jessica Patterson, Stephanie Graham, Terra Hutcheon, Ricky Graham Jr, Henry Graham, John Craig, John Seeley, Judith Damm, Rosalee Brocuglio, Jeremy Graham, Desiree Boucher, Michelle Boucher, Michael Boucher Jr, Mikalo Boucher, Annika Ronja, Jennifer Sikes, Johnnie Maggipinto, Aleesha Graham, Russell Graham Jr, James Graham, Mitchel Graham, Shane Graham, Michael May, and Nicole May…plus 22 great grandchildren.

Friends and family may call at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main St, Kensington, CT on Friday, June 24th, 2016, from 6-7pm.  Burial will be 9am Saturday, June 25, 2016 at State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Ln, Middletown, CT for family only.  Memorial donations may be made to ST.
