Theresa (Daigle) Jambard, 90, died on Sunday, October 16, at Hartford Hospital, following a short illness. She was born in Frenchville, Maine, one of nine children to the late Rene and Marie (Martin) Daigle.  Working on the family farm as a growing child, she eventually moved with her sister, Esther, to Waterville, Maine, and then to New Britain, Ct., to work at Fafnir Bearing Co., where she met her future husband, the late Gilbert Jambard.  They settled in Berlin, CT., in 1954, where she lived until this past June.  Terry, to her friends and relatives, was an active, life-long member of St. Paul’s Church, where she was recruited by her close friend, Phyllis Fecteau, to help make rosary beads, which were distributed around the world.  She was also an active member of the Red Hatters.

Theresa was a loving mother and is survived by two children, Kenneth Jambard and Ronald Jambard and his wife Margaret (Melowicz), both of Berlin.  Theresa is also survived by her six grandchildren Kenny, Amy and Katie Jambard, Sarah (Spack), Scott and Chris Jambard, and six great grandchildren, Magnus and Greta Jambard, Sydney and Ethan Spack, and Tyler and Peyton Theresa Jambard.  She is also survived by a brother, Lucien Daigle and his wife Adrienne of New Britain and a sister, Jeanne (Daigle) Bensmiller and her husband Dave of Henderson, Nevada.  In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sister Esther of New Britain and brothers Valier Daigle of Berlin, John Daigle of Bristol, Ray Daigle of Rhode Island, Bernard Daigle of Middletown and Paul Daigle of Middletown.

Calling hours will be on Sunday, October 23, from 4 – 7 PM at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main St, Kensington, CT 06037. A funeral liturgy will take place on Monday, October 24, 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY AT St. Paul’s Church, 485 Alling St, Kensington, CT 06037.  Burial will be private for the family only.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Lucian’s Residence Inc., 532 Burritt St, New Britain, CT 06053.  Directions to the funeral home can be found at www.berlinmemorialfuneralhome.com
