It was with great regret that I heard about the passing of my teammate at Southern Connecticut. We played together for four years. I was the 3rd baseman and he was the shortstop. He was a great shortstop and a great teammate. I will always cherish our time together.

Andrea and Jason,

I am so sorry for your loss. I know what you are going through. Please know that all your friends are here to support you. I remember the days when your dad and I would watch you and Jessica play softball. He had such an endearing smile. I will remember him in my prayers.

To Paul's family and friends, Although we have known Paul for a relatively short time through a fellowship we share, we do know what a loving father, grandfather and friend he was. Those of us who loved him from our fellowship are shocked and stunned by his sudden passing, We hope he realized how much he was loved and appreciated by us and that our wishes for eternal peace go with him to eternity.

Dear Baretta family,
Please accept my sincerest condolences on Paul's passing. I was shocked and saddened when I heard this morning. We were classmates at BHS, Class of '65. Paul was ever a good friend and someone you could count on. I last saw him last December at Bella's restaurant where a bunch of us old timers had gotten together for a lite supper. He and Dick Carlson came in together. They had always been very close friends. He looked good and was looking forward to our summer meeting. He rests with the Angels now and is at Peace.

We are so sorry to hear of this news! Paul "PB" was a great person to me and my son Jake.
I met Paul indirectly years and years ago when I was a kid and he was playing baseball in the Twilight/Semi-Pro League with my brother-in-law.
Our paths crossed again in 2007 when he worked with me to get me ready to go to Red Sox Fantasy Camp.
5 years later after I opened Advanced SportsPlex and PB started coming in working with kids and became a fixture there for the next 5+ years.
He was a tough teacher/instructor that did not sugarcoat anything but he truly cared about the kids he worked with.
He worked with my son Jake many many times and had a big part in helping him become the best infielder he could be.
Jake, myself and the staff at Advanced SportsPlex will really miss him!
Our heartfelt sympathies go out to his family and friends.

He spoke so highly of you and Jake. We talked a lot about the two of you every week when we were together and how excited he was to be working with you. I believe he just went to one of Jake's games last week. He loved every minute of it! Much love, Andrea

Dear Baretta family:

Please accept my heartfelt condolences for the loss of your loved one. Take comfort in knowing that soon all those in the memorial tombs or grave will be resurrected or raised up back to life in conditions free from sickness and death (John 5:28,29; Revelation 21:4). Those are just two of many comforting scriptures found in the Bible. May the God of love comfort your family and friends during your period of mourning.

Andrea, I was so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. He was a wonderful man who always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. I enjoyed working with him at the high school, he was such a positive and supportive teacher and coach. I know how proud he was of you and all of your life accomplishments and what a great team you two made. The days ahead will be difficult, but you have so many great memories and you know you were a wonderful daughter to a great Dad. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
