Lucille Edith Grady, 86, of Plainville, died at the home of her daughter, Mary, in Colorado Springs, COon Friday, March 18, 2016, following a brief illness. Lucille was the wife of the late Edward Grady.
Born in Newington on December 30, 1929, a daughter of the late Albert and Edith (Kiedesch) Trowbridge, Lucille was employed as a machinist at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for many years.
Lucille loved to be with her family as often as possible – especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, playing cards and was a big fan of the Boston Red Sox’s.
Lucille is survived by 2 sons: Robert (Anita) Grady of Wallingford, and John (Ann) Grady of Rockford, IL 2 daughters: Lucille (Jeff) Kerr of Plymouth, CT and Mary (William) Josefiak of Colorado Springs, CO, a daughter in-law: Karen Grady of Torrington, 19 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Lucille was pre-deceased by a son: Edward Grady and a daughter: Sharon Grady, 5 brothers: Mertin ,Allen, Lloyd, Everett and Robert Trowbridge and a sister Ruth.
Friends and family may call at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Kensington on Monday, March 28, 2016 from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 A.M. at St. Paul Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, New Britain.
