Linda Maureen (Mariotti) Crescimano, 80, of Middletown, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015, at her home, with her loving family by her side.  She was the wife of Anthony S. Crescimano.

Born in East Berlin, a daughter of the late Mario and Mary (Georgini) Mariotti, Linda was a member of St. Pius X Church in Middletown and a member of the Rosary Alter Society.  She was involved in local education and served in many capacities supporting various community organizations and initiatives. She was a fervent supporter of civil rights and liberties.

Besides her husband, Linda is survived by 7 children, Lynne Fitzpatrick, Anthony F. Crescimano and his wife, Diane, both of Middletown, Lisa Crescimano-Lee and her husband, Thomas, of Palm Desert, CA, Sandra Cardella, Christopher Crescimano, Jolie Crescimano-Goss and her husband, Christopher and Matthew Crescimano and his wife, Sandi, all of Middletown, 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, her God Daughter Annmarie (Amenta) Swanson, and many nieces and nephews.  Although she loved all her grandchildren, she took special joy in her relationship with her firstborn grandchild, Deanna Fitzpatrick Showerda.  Her two best friends from childhood, Joann, and her husband, Stan Phillips and Theresa and her husband, Ray Porier, also survive her.  The three friends known as “ter-Jo-lynn” continued to find each other into their 80’s.

Linda was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Norma (Mariotti) Amenta and her husband, Sebastian.

Linda was an avid Yankees fan, a voracious reader and took great pride in caring for home and family.  She enjoyed many summers on the shores of Old Saybrook, CT and winters in Rancho Mirage, CA.

Linda happily achieved her life ambition as reflected in her high school yearbook, “To be Tony’s wife”.
